OUTBUILDINGS INTO HOMES

Many small outbuildings contain enough space to  converted them into living quarters, without harming their appearance if designed with care.
Sometimes the interior height allows for galleried private rooms off a main open reception space and small additions can provide ancilliary facilities.

Additional floors may be added, planners permitting, by exposing the roof space to minimise the height impact.

In the second project above, we developed an exposed modern oak truss design to create the extra internal height without increasing the eaves height of the building.
